You’d better believe it; our little frequent flyer has been at it again, this time flying to the sunny state of Queensland for a friend’s wedding.
On arrival we picked up our hire car for the weekend, which came with... Ta-da, a forward facing car seat. Which for most of us means nothing at all, but for a curious little baby equals happy days!
Our stay was made all the more fun as we crashed with Ash’s friend Brad, his wife Malinda and baby Lauren. In particular Kaitlyn was thrilled, as she is with anyone under the age of three – nice then that when Ash and Brad get together, their combined age rivals any two year old.
Kaitlyn assumed her usual position of “the baby attacks”– if she could have; I truly believe she would have put Lauren in her mouth.
And while Lauren spent the entire weekend giggling away at herself while she played – she wasn’t so sure about Kaitlyn, or perhaps it was the fact she nearly became kaitlyn's new toy.
Luckily Lauren is a little older and wiser and was able to crawl herself out of trouble i.e. Kaitlyn’s grasp.
Kaitlyn was dressed in her finest for the wedding itself – she took a little while to complete her look for the day…
And is pictured here with Dad looking perhaps a little disinterested in the whole event.
It’s not until she is in her Mum’s arms that her true personality comes out – Dr Evil visits us again…
It seems to have happened overnight, but Kaitlyn is now very mobile and starting to show signs of crawling. We invested in a colourful playmate designed to cushion the blow of her massive head falling after a long period of sitting up, or rolling around too much.
Prior to such a fall –
The consequences of such a fall -
However no matter how hard I try, it is a matter of minutes before she has scooted her way off the thing and is stuck under the nearest piece of furniture.
Her attempts at crawling have so far resulted in pushing backwards for a good five minutes before a general scream in frustration – here’s a lovely picture taken before the angry face appeared –
I attempt daily reasoning techniques and demonstrations to encourage the crawling movement – but am often on the receiving end of blank stares such as this –
Over the last week, we have also enjoyed a nice sunny Anzac Day – here’s a picture of Kaitlyn with her green and gold ribbon.
And a fantastic afternoon with little Dylan who came over for a play date – however I think he was more interested in playing with Thomas than Kaitlyn…
That’s it for this entry; hope to have another one with some footage attached soon – the rolling and scooting in action, and Kaitlyn saying “mama!” (yes Carol it’s true she does say it – I will have the footage to prove it!)

I dont believe you, no way Mama!! You must have misheard, it was 'carrool'. Dylan looks as if he has grown so much, he is a lovely looking little boy (obviously not nearly as lovely as our Kaitlyn). I love the evil look she has. Was Ash pleased the Villa won at last? Speak soon. Love you xxxx
