TURNING ONE IS JUST THREE MONTHS AWAY...

I just can't quite believe that in a matter of a few short months my little baby will turn one. I can’t even remember what it felt like to have a baby of just a few hours old…

She really is getting older by the day - (well, apart from the crawling which seems to be another 9 months away), and yes I know this quite an obvious statement, but it often hits me out of nowhere how much she has changed since we first brought her home.

Still with the passing of time, we have many things to celebrate, and none more exciting than her first tooth – which popped up last Monday. As ever, I have attempted catching it on film, but am yet to get an opportunity to snap a decent angle – this is the best we can get at the moment.

It even looks as though there might be a little neighbour next door – hopefully not causing too much pain on it’s way up.

While crawling poses too difficult a challenge at the moment, she is getting together a good bag of tricks including waving goodbye and hello (we now find it a little difficult walking through the shopping centre without a number of strangers stopping to say hello); clapping on command (- not sure how she has learnt what the word "clap" means, yet struggles to understand "no"); the ability to turn herself around on her bottom a complete 360; and as ever, lot’s of babbling. Here she is rolling her way to trouble (her favourite mode of transport)…

Her other favourite past time is throwing – whatever she can get her hands on. For some reason she never get’s tired of dropping things from her highchair and then leaning over and staring at the food on the floor – it’s absolutely fascinating!

Look at this innocent little face - the same one she get's after pulling a toy out of one of her little friend's hands...

I meanwhile continue to watch her with baited breath, waiting for that moment when she crawls for the first time. Here are some snaps on a lazy Monday afternoon when I thought she was about to do it any minute - instead I think she enjoyed teasing me and doing absolutely nothing.

We have been out and out as usual – having a coffee with Grandad for his birthday.

And meeting up with Nan and Poppy for a day in the park with cousin Dylan. Unfortunately time apart has done nothing for the affection Dylan shows his little cousin – she remains very much repulsive and an all round pain in the butt.

At least Nan and Poppy are showing the love!
